BeeHive Homes of Maple Grove is a locally owned memory care community focused on helping seniors with memory impairment live active, meaningful lives. We're seeking a Cook with assisted living or memory care experience who enjoys working in a small, supportive team environment and is eager to grow and contribute. Position Overview The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals for our residents and team members while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation. This role plays an important part in creating a positive dining experience and ensuring our residents receive meals prepared with care and attention to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to established menus and recipes Follow menus created by the Culinary Director Prepare meals with attention to taste, quality, portion size, presentation, and nutritional needs Follow proper food handling, storage, cooking, holding, and temperature-control procedures Accommodate resident dietary restrictions, food allergies, and special or modified diets as directed Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-preparation areas Safely operate, clean, and maintain common kitchen equipment Assist with receiving, inspecting, labeling, dating, rotating, and properly storing food and kitchen supplies Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory or ordering needs Follow all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and food-service requirements Provide friendly, respectful, and attentive service to residents and team members Work collaboratively with the Culinary Director and BeeHive team to ensure consistent, high-quality meal service Schedule Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Holiday coverage required Weekend coverage may be required in the future Flexibility to provide occasional additional coverage is preferred Required Qualifications Current ServSafe certification Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, healthcare, assisted living, long-term care, or institutional food-service environment Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and food-temperature requirements Ability to follow menus, recipes, dietary restrictions, and special resident diets Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety Ability to safely operate and maintain common kitchen equipment Ability to pass the required background study and meet all BeeHive Homes employment requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience working in assisted living, memory care, healthcare, or long-term care Experience preparing meals for individuals with special diets, food allergies, or modified textures Experience with institutional or large-scale meal preparation Pride in meal presentation and creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents What We Offer A personalized, people-first culture An environment rooted in trust, respect, and excellence A supportive team where your contributions are valued The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents A workplace where the care you put into every meal truly matters
