Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team at Golden Age Nursing Home. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, with a strong understanding of menu planning and food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our residents while adhering to dietary department standards and maintaining high-quality food safety practices. Duties Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen protocols. Work closely with dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs of residents. Skills Familiarity with dietary department standards and menu planning processes. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and management. Attention to detail in both cooking techniques and presentation of dishes.
