Support the General Manager and Food & Beverage leadership in delivering high-quality food execution, maintaining Hilton brand standards, and building a strong culinary culture from pre-opening through stabilized operations. This role will be hands-on in the kitchen, focused on consistent food preparation and execution. The Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and supporting daily kitchen operations to deliver a consistent and elevated guest experience aligned with Hilton Garden Inn standards. Key Responsibilities Operations & Guest Experience Prepare and execute menu items to Hilton Garden Inn brand standards Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper presentation Execute prep work and line cooking during all service periods Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations, including dishwashing / ware washing duties Support timely and accurate ticket execution during service Assist with guest requests and special dietary needs as required Pre-Opening Support Assist with kitchen setup, organization, and equipment readiness Support development of prep lists and station organization Participate in training and onboarding activities Learn and execute opening menus, recipes, and standards Assist with receiving and organizing product deliveries Financial Awareness Follow portion control standards to support food cost goals Minimize waste through proper prep and storage practices Maintain proper product rotation (FIFO) and labeling Use ingredients efficiently during prep and service Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards Maintain proper temperature logs and food handling procedures Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free Follow all OSHA and kitchen safety protocols Support Hilton brand and QA food standards Team Support Work collaboratively with kitchen team members and leadership Communicate clearly during service to ensure smooth operations Maintain a positive, team-first attitude in a fast-paced environment Support cross-training and assist where needed Work Experience Experience Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred 1-2 years of culinary experience in restaurant or hotel environments preferred Experience in high-volume or fast-paced environments a plus Pre-opening experience preferred but not required Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Ability to follow recipes and execute consistently Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety Ability to work efficiently under pressure Technical Competencies Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices Ability to follow prep lists and production standards Personal Attributes Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic and accountability Team-oriented with a positive attitude Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits & Perks Competitive hourly wage Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO), Flex Time Off (FTO), and paid holidays "Go Hilton" Team Member Travel Program (discounted hotel stays worldwide) Professional development and advancement opportunities within Scarlett Hotel Group Opportunity to be part of a high-visibility hotel opening Employee referral bonus program
