Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in upscale casual dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Maintain an organized and efficient work station, including inventory management of ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor food quality and freshness, making adjustments as necessary to meet high culinary standards. Experience Previous experience in a line cook or similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques. Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus. Familiarity with menu planning, catering services, and fine dining environments is desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling is essential. A passion for cooking and serving high-quality meals with attention to detail is required.
