We're looking for a dependable, energetic Line Cook who enjoys a busy kitchen, takes pride in putting out great food, and works well as part of a team. The Club is a full-service restaurant and bar serving hotel guests, Bozeman locals, and visitors, with a kitchen that supports breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events. Job Summary The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to The Club Tavern & Grill and hotel standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and food safety. Working under the supervision of the Chef, this position supports restaurant service as well as banquets and special events. Essential Functions and Duties Prepare ingredients and fully stock your station before service. Operate your cooking station efficiently and safely during service. Prepare menu items according to established recipes, portions, and quality standards. Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and ticket execution. Inspect food before it leaves the kitchen. Follow proper food handling, preparation, cooking, cooling, and storage procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift. Assist with preparation of pantry items, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other menu items as assigned. Keep work areas stocked and complete required opening and closing procedures. Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products. Prepare requisitions for food and supplies as needed. Work cooperatively with the culinary and restaurant teams to provide timely service. Follow written and verbal direction from the Chef or supervisor. Assist with restaurant, banquet, and special-event production as business needs require. Required Experience, Education, and Skills Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related kitchen experience and/or training. Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and preparation instructions. Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Understanding of kitchen measurements and recipe conversions. Food Handler certification required. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Dependable, team-oriented, and able to maintain composure during busy service periods. Work Environment This position works primarily in the kitchen at The Club Tavern & Grill, 1325 N 7th Avenue, Bozeman, Montana. Kitchen environment with varying temperatures. Regular exposure to kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals. Requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
