Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Prep Cook to join our Food Services team in Boone, NC . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Prep Cook , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Prepare and serve food according to approved menus and standardized recipes, while keeping waste to a minimum. Apply basic food preparation techniques and terminology. Put away stock delivered by food service vendors. Ensure proper dating, rotation, and storage. Monitor food quality using Food Safe methods as directed. Apply correct cooking temperatures. Maintain the kitchen, eating and service areas, storage areas, and cooler/freezer facilities in a clean and orderly manner. Sweep and mop floors. Other duties as assigned What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to pass Samaritan's Purse Food Services Advancement Test Level I is required What are the benefits?
