Now Hiring — Kitchen Staff Cook
  • Kitchen Aide The Memory Care of the Triad — Kernersville, NC Full Time and Part Time
  • Rotating weekends required About Us The Memory Care of the Triad is a dedicated memory care community.
Every resident here lives with dementia, and mealtime is one of the most important parts of their day — it is when they are most engaged, and it is where we catch problems early. Our residents don't always recognize food, finish a plate, or remember they ate. That means the kitchen does more than cook. What comes out of our kitchen has to look appealing, arrive at the right texture, and be something a resident can manage on their own for as long as possible. We are hiring for two positions. Tell us which one you are applying for. The RolesCook You run the line and put the meal out. Prepare and cook three meals daily from the posted menu Follow every resident's diet order exactly — puree, mechanical soft, and modified textures are common here Prepare finger foods for residents who eat while walking or cannot manage utensils Portion and plate so that food is appealing and easy to recognize Take and record food temperatures at prep, holding, and service Document any menu substitutions Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized throughout the shift Complete production and temperature logs before the end of shift Looking for: prior cooking experience in a kitchen serving meals on a schedule
  • ability to read and follow a diet order exactly

  • ServSafe preferred Kitchen Aide You support the cook, serve the residents, and keep the kitchen running.
Assist with prep and meal service for three meals daily Serve and assist residents in the dining room , including cueing, encouraging, and helping those who need hands-on assistance Notice and report when a resident isn't eating, refuses a meal, or has trouble swallowing Stock and verify the resident snack cart at the end of each shift Offer snacks and fluids between meals Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining room after every meal Keep the freezer, pantry, and dry storage organized, dated, and rotated Complete cleaning and sanitation logs Looking for: patience, dependability, and a calm way with people who are confused. No experience required — we train. What We're Looking For — Both Positions Dependable — you show up, on time, every scheduled shift Able to follow written menus and diet orders exactly Patient and calm with residents who are confused, repetitive, or resistant — this is the job, not an inconvenience Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Willing to work rotating weekends and assigned holidays ServSafe or food handler certification helpful; required for Cook within ______ days of hire Why Work Here A small community where you will know every resident by name and know what they like to eat Consistent, posted schedules Full-time benefits available Paid training, including dementia care training and support toward ServSafe certification How To Apply Apply through this posting with your resume.
