Waccamaw Speedy Mart is looking for a dependable and hardworking Cook to join our team. The Cook will prepare fresh food, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and provide friendly service to customers. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, follows food-safety procedures, and takes pride in preparing quality food. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and procedures Keep food-preparation areas clean, organized, and properly stocked Follow food-safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling guidelines Check ingredients and supplies and notify management when items are running low Assist with washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and completing kitchen closing duties Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed Work cooperatively with other team members Complete other kitchen-related duties as assigned Qualifications Previous cooking or food-service experience is preferred but not required Dependable, punctual, and ready to work Able to follow directions and work efficiently Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a busy kitchen Willing to maintain a clean and safe work environment Flexible availability is preferred Waccamaw Speedy Mart 104 Top Tobacco Rd Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450
