Line Cook In this role, you will assist the chefs by preparing dishes, maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, and performing simpler cooking functions, as assigned and according to Jolie's current menu.
Key duties will include:
Daily setup of workstation with required mis en place, tools, equipment, and supplies and ensuring their cleanliness and proper working condition. Maintain exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation. Complete daily prep list and ensure all items are prepared properly and placed in designated areas. Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties, including returning all food items and tools to proper storage areas. Move items to/from storeroom and stock where needed. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned area. Assist with receiving provision deliveries, verify items against invoice, check for quality, and communicate any inventory or quality issues to chefs. Qualifications Needed At least 2 years of professional line cook experience. Working proficiency with knives, knife skills and relevant kitchen equipment. Applicable knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Professional appearance and demeanor are a must. Maintaining a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance, aligned with Jolie's specific brand standards, is required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk during entire shift. Ability to reach, bend, climb steps, and stoop. Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs. and place items on low and high shelves. Schedule & Pay 2pm-10pm, Tuesday-Saturday. $18-20/hour, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
