Duration:

Approximately 6 weeks, with the potential for a longer-term assignment Elevate Workforce is currently seeking a dependable Prep Cook for a food-service operation in Ellendale, ND. This position is scheduled to begin Monday, September 21st and is expected to last approximately 6 weeks, with the potential to extend beyond the initial assignment . The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen or food-service experience, be dependable, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for meals, including washing, cutting, chopping, and portioning Assist cooks with meal preparation as needed Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food-preparation instructions Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products Maintain clean and organized food-preparation areas Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food-safety procedures Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, and work surfaces Stock and organize kitchen supplies Assist with other kitchen and food-service duties as needed Requirements Previous prep cook, kitchen, or food-service experience preferred Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependable with reliable transportation Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal kitchen-related lifting Food Handler Certification preferred but not required Must be willing to complete any food-safety training required by the customer or facility Compensation $16.00
