We are a busy bakery and cafe focused on quality food and made from scratch cooking. This position includes both line cooking and food preparation. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and can maintain quality and consistency in the kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to uphold food safety standards Assist with meal preparation for service, catering events, or special functions as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all prepared items Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Work cooperatively with cooks, bakers, front of house staff and management. Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and responsibly A positive attitude with a commitment to cleanliness, food handling protocols, and customer service excellence
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
