The Production Prep Cook supports the Production Chef and Chef Instructor with food preparation, volunteer/student coordination, administrative duties and outreach functions including catering and food truck events. We offer a great work environment with generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401K and life insurance along with other fringe benefits. Duties Assist Culinary Team in food production. Assist Production Chef in the preparation of partner agency meals. Aide in guiding volunteer opportunities within the kitchen related to bulk meal production and cleaning as needed. Help maintain temperature logs and inventory records daily. Assist with the development and management of outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor. Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas and equipment. Pick agency meal orders and maintain inventory control. Job Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of experience. ServSafe Manager's Certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire. Ability to complete Forklift Driver Training/Certification within twelve (12) months of hire. Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment, preferred. Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preferred.
