Responsibilities Prepare and assemble menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen area Assist in meal preparation for both daily service and catering events, ensuring timely delivery Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and maintain smooth workflow Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including slicing techniques and food handling procedures Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and equipment operation Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Basic understanding of food safety management and recipe adherence principles Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
