Prep Cook/Line Cook

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to safety standards will help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and standards Assist in meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other necessary equipment safely and efficiently Follow recipe instructions precisely to ensure consistency and quality of dishes served Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep and delivery schedules Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking experience in a restaurant or food industry setting Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and general kitchen equipment operation Familiarity with meal prep, recipe adherence, and catering processes is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining sanitation standards in a busy kitchen environment Join us if you're passionate about culinary arts, eager to develop your skills further, and ready to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding food experiences!
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
