Job Summary Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our hospital food service team. In this role, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Assist with menu planning and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and individual needs Prepare ingredients using proper slicing techniques and knife skills to ensure efficiency and safety Serve meals in accordance with established procedures, ensuring presentation quality and customer satisfaction Follow safety standards in food production, handling, and storage to maintain compliance with health regulations Support catering events or special meal services as needed, maintaining cleanliness throughout the process Ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times, including sanitation and cross-contamination prevention Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety management and kitchen operations Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages or issues Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietary team to ensure timely meal delivery and quality standards are met Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide preferred Proven culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards Familiarity with menu planning, food safety practices, and safety standards in production environments Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and proficiency in meal preparation methods Experience in food service settings such as restaurants or catering environments is advantageous Understanding of food handling regulations and food safety management systems Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude If you are passionate about providing nutritious meals through skilled culinary practices within a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply today.
