Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated Cooks to join our healthcare facility's culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that meet the dietary needs of our patients and residents. Your culinary expertise will help create a warm, welcoming environment where health and well-being are prioritized through quality food service. Duties Prepare a variety of meals following established recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu plans to ensure nutritional accuracy and presentation quality Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, braising pans, poaching devices, and food processors efficiently and safely Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and sanitation protocols Assist in menu planning by contributing ideas for nutritious and appealing meal options that accommodate special dietary requirements Execute high-volume food production while maintaining consistency, quality, and timely service during busy periods Support the dietary department by ensuring all food preparation aligns with health regulations and safety management policies Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences and ensure smooth kitchen operations Experience Proven experience as a cook in a food industry setting, including restaurant or catering environments with high-volume production Dietary aide experience or familiarity with dietary department operations in healthcare or similar facilities is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling regulations, and kitchen equipment operation Skilled in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation to create diverse menu items Excellent knife skills and culinary experience with recipe adherence to ensure consistent quality across all dishes Background in food production for large-scale settings with an emphasis on nutritional standards and dietary restrictions Prior experience working in fine dining or catering environments is a plus but not required Join our team to make a positive impact through nourishing meals that support health and recovery.
