About the Role La Braise African Grill is looking for a Grill Cook to join our kitchen team in Springfield, New Jersey. The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items according to La Braise recipes, cooking standards, and proper food temperatures. You will manage the grill station throughout service and work with the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared consistently, safely, and on time. Key Responsibilities Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items according to La Braise recipes and standards Cook menu items to customer specifications while monitoring cooking times and temperatures Set up, stock, and maintain the grill station throughout service Clean the grill and fish racks and prepare the station for daily service Clean and prepare the fish required for the day Verify proper food safety temperatures Ensure marinades and seasonings are prepared and available for service Maintain a clean and organized grill station throughout the shift Clean the grill, equipment, surfaces, and surrounding work area at closing Remove kitchen trash as part of closing duties Prepare fish needed for the following morning shift Prepare salt seasoning and other required items for the next service What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can work efficiently in a restaurant kitchen, follow recipes and preparation standards, maintain a clean and organized station, and work effectively with the rest of the kitchen team.
