In this vital role, you will support the kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a smooth workflow, deliver high-quality meals, and uphold the highest standards of food handling and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, culinary arts, and working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and safety standards Support the cooking process by operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and fryers under supervision Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure meal consistency and quality Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to comply with sanitation regulations Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods Adhere to food safety management practices including proper food handling, storage, and temperature controls Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and slicing techniques Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments and food handling procedures Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a restaurant or catering setting Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members Basic understanding of culinary techniques within the food industry or restaurant experience preferred Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all aspects of food production and cleaning tasks
Pay:
