Job Description
Pneuma | Westwood, New Jersey Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available Pneuma is an all-day café, restaurant, and market opening in Westwood, New Jersey. Our food program includes fresh pasta, Roman and New York-style pizza, seasonal salads, sandwiches, hot entrées, soups, braises, prepared foods, pastries, and more. We are looking for talented, dependable Line Cooks to join our opening kitchen team. We want cooks who care about their craft, take pride in keeping a clean and organized station, and want to work with high-quality ingredients in a professional kitchen. The Role Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and executing food according to Pneuma's recipes and standards while maintaining an organized, efficient, and exceptionally clean station. Depending on experience and position, cooks may work across our pasta, sauté, grill, pizza, garde manger, prep, and production stations. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items accurately and consistently. Set up and maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked station. Follow recipes, portioning standards, and plating specifications. Complete daily prep and production lists. Properly label, date, cool, store, and rotate food. Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation. Communicate effectively with chefs and other members of the kitchen team. Work efficiently during high-volume service. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist with receiving, organization, cleaning, and general kitchen responsibilities. Properly use, clean, and care for kitchen equipment. Be willing to learn and work across multiple stations as needed. What We're Looking For Professional kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with the right attitude and work ethic. Experience with Italian cooking, fresh pasta, pizza, sauté, grill, or high-volume kitchens is a plus. Most importantly, we're looking for people who: Love cooking and want to continue improving.
