Job Overview We are seeking a Cook to join our team. In this vital role, you will be working under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services and will be responsible for supporting our team with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food service in a safe dining environment . Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals using proper techniques, including food safety practices Handle food with care, ensuring cleanliness, proper storage, and adherence to food safety standards Maintain kitchen cleanliness through regular sanitation of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment Follow all food handling local/state regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Hands-on experience with food preparation, and cooking techniques Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to prepare meals efficiently and accurately according to special diets and follow recipes Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail
