Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers Follow strict food safety standards in handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure a hygienic workspace Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming service periods Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly throughout shifts Support the kitchen team with meal preparation during busy service times or catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Experience with food handling, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Background in culinary arts or food industry roles demonstrating a commitment to quality cooking and safety standards Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
