This role combines expert culinary skills with strong leadership abilities to ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality, safety, and service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production, menu planning, and managing a busy kitchen environment, with a focus on fine dining, catering, and banquet services. You will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards—all while fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, to ensure high standards of food preparation and service. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including shift management, scheduling, and workflow optimization to meet service demands. Plan menus that align with dietary requirements and customer preferences while controlling food costs through effective inventory management. Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and sanitation standards to maintain a safe environment. Manage inventory control by ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize budget efficiency. Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail in presentation and timing. Implement training programs for staff on culinary techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service excellence. Skills Proven experience in food production within fine dining or hospitality settings; banquet and catering experience highly desirable. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Extensive knowledge of dietary department practices and food safety sanitizing procedures. Expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management with a focus on quality control. Proficiency in inventory management, cost control strategies, and food industry best practices. Excellent leadership qualities combined with strong communication skills to motivate staff and ensure seamless operations. Familiarity with restaurant management systems, shift management tools, and hospitality standards.
