In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your energy and culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties Prepare ingredients through precise slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure consistency and quality. Follow recipes accurately to maintain flavor profiles and presentation standards across all menu items. Cook a variety of dishes with attention to timing, temperature, and safety standards in food production. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness by adhering to food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and equipment cleaning. Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Experience Previous experience in a food service environment, including restaurant or catering settings, is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, especially in handling special dietary needs or meal modifications. Strong culinary background with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe adherence. Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience with meal preparation for large groups or catering events is advantageous.
