Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to perfection, and ensuring that every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your energetic approach and culinary skills will help create a vibrant dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Prepare ingredients through chopping, slicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure consistency and efficiency. Cook menu items according to standardized recipes, maintaining flavor profiles and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and effectively. Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards diligently to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Assist with meal preparation for daily service as well as catering events, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly throughout shifts. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and uphold smooth kitchen operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety management practices. Demonstrated proficiency in food preparation techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members. Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, or catering is advantageous but not required.
