Job Description

Job Title Line Cook Job Summary A professional Line cook will prepare food to the chef's specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful team member will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction and acquisition goals. Responsibilities and Duties Once clocked in, check the line to see what you need to execute your shift. Check all equipment and make sure it's working. Any issue needs to be communicated to the chef. Able to understand and maintain proper protein temps. Able to follow recipes to ensure that the food is consistent every single time. Working with the expo or expo chef to properly sell dishes in a timely manner but also working in accordance with other stations. At the end of night, you are to take all trash on the line to the dumpster area. Execute all cleaning tasks that have been outlined to you by the chef team. Do not leave before checking out with the closing chef. Your job is not limited to this station, flexibility is a must. The chef will assess where the need is in the kitchen and act accordingly. Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Organize dry storage and ensure truck orders are properly stored and rotated. Qualifications and Skills Previous kitchen experience required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to follow directions, be a team player and work well under pressure.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
