Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Evening Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, supporting food service operations for dinner service. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience or interest in culinary activities. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, kitchen operations, and hospitality service. Duties Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met Prepare dishes according to recipes. Prepare ingredients for use. Support food service staff during busy periods by bussing tables and clearing dishes Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces Help with catering setups and banquet service as needed Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels Support the culinary team with light cooking duties when required Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support various kitchen functions Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Basic physical stamina for standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds A positive attitude and eagerness to learn culinary skills and hospitality operations
