Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. Duties Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while following all safety protocols. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings. Assist with catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service. Qualifications Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary setting. Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniques. Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food handling practices. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
