That's not us. Sunset Lanes is looking for a Line Cook to join a kitchen that takes food seriously while still having fun with it. We make a lot of our food from scratch, run creative weekly specials, come up with some seriously off-the-wall menu ideas, and have built a reputation for food that surprises people when they realize it came from a bowling alley. Our owner is a chef from Las Vegas , and the goal has always been simple: Make food people actually want to come back for. What You'll Be Doing Working the line during lunch, dinner, and busy shifts Preparing burgers, wings, sandwiches, appetizers, specials, and other menu items Prepping fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch components Helping execute weekly specials and new menu ideas Keeping your station clean, stocked, and organized Working efficiently when tickets start rolling in Maintaining consistent quality and presentation Following food safety and sanitation standards Working with a kitchen team that actually cares about the food leaving the window This Kitchen Is a Little Different We like to experiment. We do custom specials. We create menu items people talk about. Sometimes that means taking a classic and making it better.
Sometimes it means someone says:
"You know what would be really good..." ...and somehow it ends up on the menu next week. If you enjoy cooking, learning new things, and being part of a kitchen where creativity is encouraged, you'll probably enjoy working here. Who We're Looking For We want someone who is: Reliable Organized Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Able to handle multiple tickets at once Consistent with food quality Willing to learn Comfortable taking direction A strong team player Someone who takes pride in what they put on a plate Previous line cook or kitchen experience is preferred. More importantly, we want someone who actually cares about food . You don't need to think you're Gordon Ramsay. Actually, maybe don't. We yell a lot less here. Availability We are looking for someone with open and reliable availability Tuesday through Sunday . That includes weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Our schedule varies based on business needs, leagues, events, and weekend traffic, so flexibility throughout the week is important. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is especially important , but this is not a weekends-only position. If your availability changes every week or your weekends suddenly disappear after you're hired, this probably won't be the right fit. Why Sunset Lanes? Because this isn't just another kitchen job. Sunset Lanes is a locally owned bowling center, bar, and restaurant in West Seneca with a strong following and highly rated food. Our kitchen has become a big part of what makes Sunset Lanes different. We serve classic favorites, made-from-scratch items, creative weekly specials, and food you probably wouldn't expect to find inside a bowling center. You'll have the opportunity to work in a kitchen where: New ideas are encouraged Specials change regularly Quality matters You can actually learn and improve The menu doesn't have to be boring And yes... You'll occasionally hear someone say: "Wait... THIS came from a bowling alley?" We consider that a compliment. Sound Like Your Kind of Kitchen? If you're dependable, enjoy cooking, work well with others, and want to be part of a kitchen that likes doing things a little differently, we want to hear from you. Apply today and tell us about your kitchen experience and your availability Tuesday through Sunday.
