Job Description
Line Cook/EXPO — Sloopy's Diner Columbus, OH (Ohio State campus) $13-$21/hour, based on experience Sloopy's Diner is hiring line cooks to join our kitchen on the Ohio State campus. We're a busy, high-volume diner serving students, staff, and the surrounding neighborhood, and we're looking for cooks who can hold a station, keep pace during a rush, and put out consistent plates every ticket. What you'll do Work a station on the line — grill, flat top, fry, or sauté depending on the shift Prep and portion ingredients ahead of service Cook to recipe and spec, with consistent quality and plating Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout service Follow food safety and sanitation standards Support the rest of the kitchen team during peak volume What we're looking for Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred; we'll train the right person Comfortable working quickly and cleanly under pressure Reliable and on time — the line depends on it Able to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs Availability for a mix of days, nights, and weekends What we offer Competitive pay based on experience Flexible scheduling Shift meals Immediate hire for qualified candidates Sloopy's Diner is independently operated on the Ohio State campus and is not affiliated with or employed by the university.
