Job Description
Company Overview Neighborhood Alliance has been compassionately caring for the community since 1927. Our mission is to strengthen neighborhoods by addressing the diverse needs of families and individuals in Northeast Ohio through essential services such as meal delivery, emergency shelter, and wellness programs. Summary We are seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our team at Neighborhood Alliance. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing nutritious meals for our community members, ensuring that we meet their dietary needs while supporting our mission of empowerment and care. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner following food handling regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment. Help with menu planning and food inventory management as needed. Support the delivery of meals to clients and assist in meal service during events. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Substitute driver as needed. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in food preparation or a related role required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Passion for serving the community and commitment to our mission.
