Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service Follow food handling procedures to guarantee quality and safety in every dish served Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate meal production and ensure smooth kitchen operations Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills and slicing methods Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff Understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production Ability to follow recipes precisely and adhere to meal preparation guidelines Catering experience is advantageous for handling special events or large-scale meal service Knowledge of food industry best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene Join us as a Line Cook and bring your culinary talents to life while contributing to a lively team dedicated to excellence!
