In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals that meet dietary guidelines and promote healthy growth. Duties Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks tailored to preschool dietary needs, ensuring adherence to approved menus and recipes Plan weekly menus that incorporate a variety of healthy ingredients, considering dietary restrictions and preferences Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors Follow strict food safety protocols, including sanitizing surfaces and utensils regularly to maintain a hygienic environment Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods suitable for high-volume meal preparation Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies properly, and rotating stock to minimize waste Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensure compliance with all health department regulations Experience Previous experience working in dietary or food service roles such as dietary aide or restaurant staff is highly preferred Demonstrated ability in menu planning and meal preparation within a high-volume production setting Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling best practices is essential Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with culinary techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills enhances performance Background in catering or fine dining experience is advantageous but not required Strong understanding of dietary department standards and food safety management practices Join us in creating nourishing experiences for our preschoolers!
