The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in fine dining and food safety standards. This role involves preparing high-quality sautéed dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent presentation and taste. Candidates with experience in dietary departments, catering, or restaurant kitchens are encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to a dynamic food service operation. Duties Prepare and cook sautéed dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Support the team during meal service, including plating and presentation of dishes Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Assist with catering events or special functions as needed Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, especially in fine dining or restaurant settings Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience with menu planning and food industry best practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail for presentation and quality control Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required Familiarity with catering services, serving, and food industry operations is advantageous This position is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences through skillful sautéing and culinary excellence. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
