In this role, you will be an essential part of our kitchen operations, helping to prepare ingredients, support meal assembly, and ensure that all food served meets our high standards for quality and safety. Responsibilities Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistent meal quality and presentation. Support the kitchen team with cooking tasks, including operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards. Help with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Contribute to menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming dishes or catering events. Adhere to safety standards during all stages of food production to prevent cross-contamination and accidents. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is a plus. Background in food service or restaurant environments, especially in food preparation or catering. Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic culinary techniques. Knowledge of food safety management practices and safe handling procedures. Experience with recipe adherence and meal preparation in fast-paced settings. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and other team members. Demonstrated ability to follow safety standards in production environments.
