Part-Time Reports to: Kitchen Manager / General Manager About SuperPlay SuperPlay is Beaverton's family entertainment center, featuring 24 bowling lanes, laser tag, arcade games, and a full-service restaurant and bar. We're looking for a cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in putting out consistent, quality food — whether it's a quick order during league night or a full menu for a birthday party or corporate event. Position Summary The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items to SuperPlay's recipe and quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working efficiently with the rest of the kitchen team to keep ticket times fast during high-volume periods. Key Responsibilities Prepare food items according to standard recipes and portion sizes Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers, grills, ovens, and prep tools Read and execute tickets accurately and efficiently, keeping pace during rushes Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Keep cook line, prep stations, and walk-in/storage areas clean and organized Communicate with front-of-house staff and management Assist with inventory counts and communicate reorder needs to the Kitchen Manager Support food prep and execution for private events, parties, and large group orders Follow all company policies, including break procedures and cross-department support during peak times Uphold a positive, team-first attitude consistent with SuperPlay's culture Qualifications Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred Oregon Food Handler's Card required (or ability to obtain before start date) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work near heat/kitchen equipment Team-oriented with strong communication skills What We Offer Competitive hourly wage Flexible scheduling Employee discounts on food, bowling, and arcade play A fun, high-energy work environment
