As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily food production, supervise dietary staff, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs, preferences, and care plans Supervise and manage food service teams, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Ensure all food production adheres to food safety management standards and health regulation policies Oversee food inventory, budgeting, and cost control measures to optimize resource utilization Supervise compliance with food service health code regulations and implement necessary corrective actions when needed Collaborate with healthcare professionals on care plans involving clinical nutrition, physiology considerations, and acute care needs Lead efforts in food safety management, including regular audits, staff training on hygiene practices, and documentation of compliance activities Manage the dietary department's operations efficiently while fostering a team-oriented environment that emphasizes leadership and quality service Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings with a strong background in dietary management or food service management Knowledge of health regulation policies related to food safety, nutrition standards, and EHR/EHR management systems Demonstrated supervisory experience managing food service teams within a healthcare or similar environment Familiarity with managing budgets, inventory control, and cost-effective food production processes Strong understanding of clinical nutrition principles, dietetics practices, and physiology relevant to elderly or special needs populations Experience with tube feeding protocols, patient assessment techniques, and developing individualized care plans Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation of nutritional needs in collaboration with healthcare providers Commitment to maintaining compliance with all health codes related to food service operations Join us in creating a vibrant dining environment where nutrition meets compassionate care!
