Job Summary:

Dear Mom Café offers modern Thai with a central Oregon twist. The Bend Bulletin says our menu is short and sweet, with gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options, including our specialty midnight chicken wings dressed in a caramelized fish sauce and served with a colorful side of house made pickled vegetables. The plating of each dish is a work of art, full of vibrant colors and textures. In the coconut curry noodle dish, the smoked garlic chili oil makes a swirling pattern over the rich aromatic mustard-yellow coconut curry broth and a sophisticated depth to the flavor of the sauce. In order to remain successful, we need experienced and talented Thai Specialty Cooks to work in our busy kitchen. Specifically, our Thai Specialty Cooks will perform the following duties: 1. Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes using an understanding of the herbs and spices which permeate Thai cooking, including fermented fish sauce, shrimp pastes, lemongrass, coriander, galingale, garlic, and chilies; 2. Cook in a fast-paced environment under time pressure; 3. Prepare different types of Thai specialty sauces so the dishes contain unique and authentic Thai flavors; and 4. Perform other health and sanitation duties as required by law.

SALARY:

$44,616/year
