In this role, you will lead a team of talented kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, ensuring all food production, presentation, and service standards are met with enthusiasm and precision. Your leadership will drive efficient kitchen management, uphold food safety protocols, and foster a positive team atmosphere. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional passionate about fine dining, catering, and food industry excellence to make a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality standards are maintained. Prepare lunch and dinner banquet style for between 30 to 50 residents at a time. Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster growth and teamwork. Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure timely procurement of ingredients. Implement and enforce food safety sanitizing procedures in compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment. Coordinate menu planning for various service types such as banquet events, catering functions, and fine dining experiences. Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods. Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory control, and sanitation practices while supporting cost control initiatives. Skills Extensive banquet experience with the ability to coordinate large-scale events seamlessly. Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food service setting. Strong background in dietary department operations and specialized food handling requirements. Expertise in food production techniques, culinary arts, and fine dining presentation standards. Exceptional team management skills with the ability to motivate staff toward shared goals. Knowledge of inventory management systems and cost control strategies within the food industry. Proficiency in food safety sanitizing procedures, kitchen management software, and regulatory compliance. Experience in catering services, restaurant management, or hospitality environments is highly desirable. Ability to oversee food service operations from menu planning through execution while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
