Overview The Naked Bagel, a Milford landmark, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Line Cook, Catering Cook, and Bagel Baker! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality hot dishes, breakfast sandwiches, and other hot items. You will be responsible for prepping and baking our famous homemade bagels. You'll also be tasked with prepping our homemade deli salads, catering dishes, and other kitchen prep. As a team player, you will also be expected to learn the front of the deli, so you can assist in any area at any time. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience, whether they are dining in or taking food to go. A background in the food industry is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare all our homemade recipes including rolling bagels, prepping deli salads, cooking pulled pork and chicken breasts, etc., while adhering to food safety standards. Bake our famous homemade bagels (fresh every day). Cook all hot deli sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and other hot dishes to order, in a high-volume kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cleaning workstations, cleaning coolers, cleaning fryers and griddle, sweeping and mopping floors, etc. Operate kitchen equipment including fryers, commercial mixers, food processors, deli slicers, safely and efficiently while following all food handling guidelines. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen products and assist with restocking as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience as a cook is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
