In this energetic role, you will be preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills by working in a scratch made kitchen. Improve your culinary skills and knowledge by working with Executive chef Jacob Watson, who has worked in some of the countries best restaurants. All while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. Whether you're experienced in food preparation or eager to expand your kitchen expertise, this role is perfect for motivated individuals ready to make a delicious impact every day. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, stoves, ovens, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards Assist with meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of quality food items Follow food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and maintain a smooth workflow during busy hours Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong foundation in culinary techniques Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and presentation with excellent knife skills and slicing techniques Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in meal quality Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous but not required Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and every day brings new opportunities to create memorable dining experiences!
