Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service hours Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with health regulations Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service demands Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Culinary experience demonstrating familiarity with recipe adherence, meal prep, and food industry best practices Experience with seafood and oyster Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
