Job Overview As a prep/ line cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and meets our high standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to assist in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your culinary skills and attention to food safety will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards. Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Support cooks in executing menu items during peak service times. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food output. Participate in training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques as needed. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation is a plus. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices is essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
