Downtown Nexton, Summerville, SC Overview At Neat & Noble Bourbon Bar , we believe great food should stand shoulder-to-shoulder with great bourbon. As a Line Cook, you play a critical role in delivering a refined yet approachable culinary experience that complements our curated whiskey program. This is a hands-on, high-energy position ideal for someone who takes pride in execution, consistency, and craftsmanship. You'll work in a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen focused on elevated small plates, bold flavors, and clean presentation. Every dish leaving the window should reflect the quality and standards of the Neat & Noble brand. Key Responsibilities Execute menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail Prepare and portion ingredients according to established recipes and standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times Ensure all food is presented to Neat & Noble standards—polished, intentional, and guest-ready Follow all food safety, sanitation, and DHEC guidelines strictly Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service Assist with prep, inventory awareness, and minimizing waste Contribute ideas for seasonal features or menu enhancements when appropriate Support catering, private events, and special service needs as required Qualifications 1+ year experience in a professional kitchen preferred (scratch kitchen or high-volume environment a plus) Strong knife skills and understanding of fundamental cooking techniques Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards ( ServSafe certification is a plus ) Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills Reliability and professionalism—on time, prepared, and focused Work Environment & Expectations Fast-paced, high-standard kitchen with a focus on execution and consistency Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Clean, polished appearance in line with Neat & Noble standards What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Growth opportunities within a high-end, expanding hospitality group Hands-on experience in a concept-driven kitchen paired with a premier bourbon program Staff meals and employee discounts A team culture built on respect, accountability, and pride in the product The Neat & Noble Standard We are building something intentional— a polished but welcoming experience where every detail matters.
