In this vital role, you will prepare high-quality dishes, assist with menu planning, and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to support creative culinary offerings Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety management practices Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met at all times Support meal preparation by slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients with precision using knife skills and slicing techniques Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service timelines Requirements Previous experience in High Volume restaurant kitchens is highly preferred, Prior experience working with seafood especially shucking oysters is a huge plus Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and operating kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Culinary experience demonstrating knife skills, slicing techniques, and food industry knowledge is desirable Commitment to safety standards in production and cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
