Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in catering or fine dining environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to menu planning. Your creativity and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Pay will be determined based on experience. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during meal periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as necessary. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant, catering service, or fine dining establishment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including knife skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Creativity in menu planning and willingness to experiment with new recipes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
