This role involves providing exceptional food service within a hospitality setting, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations, with experience in fine dining or the food industry. As a cook, you will play a vital role in delivering nutritious and appealing meals to our clients or residents while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications and dietary guidelines Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to food safety standards and regulations Cook meals with attention to presentation and quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients Collaborate with dietary staff to meet individual dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Proven cooking skills with proficiency in food handling and safety procedures Experience in fine dining, restaurant service, or the food industry is preferred Excellent knife skills and ability to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently Knowledge of catering operations and large-scale meal service logistics Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation standards Good communication skills for effective teamwork within culinary or dietary departments
