Ready ingredients before service for use by the line cooks in the preparation process. Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food. Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees. Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Physical Requirements:
Requires significant walking and the ability to work in a standing position for 8-hour shifts. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, as needed Stamina to handle repetitive and multiple tasks while maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Hiring Essentials:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook or in a similar role required. Proficient in reading standardized recipes. Have a strong working knowledge of proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices. Culinary education or training is desirable. Must be at least 18 years of age.
