In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that every plate meets our high standards for quality and presentation. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and consistency Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer preferences Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and meal assembly enhances your ability to succeed in this role Hands-on experience with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices is required Culinary experience that demonstrates cooking skills across various cuisines is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
