• Part-time, Full-time Line Cook Established in 1996, Taggart's Grill is one of Utah's favorite hidden restaurants.

Located just a few miles from Morgan, UT we're a family style restaurant that serves up a wide variety of unique homemade American cuisine, scrumptious desserts, and friendly service. We take pride in creating a fun and engaging work culture, developing staff to reach their full potential, and exceeding our guest's expectations. We are currently seeking an experienced line cook to join our kitchen team.

Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cooks a variety of steaks, burgers, salmon, chicken, halibut, pasta, etc. to specified temps over a char-broiler, deep fryer, and or flat top grill in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Compensation, Work Hours, & Benefits:

Line Cook positions start at $16

• $20/hr.

DOE We are closed on Mondays and open Tuesday through Sundays, with Sundays being shorter days. Schedules vary and some weekends and evenings are required. We are always closed on Easter Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day each and every year.

Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be team-oriented, fully committed to contributing to a positive work environment, dependable, reliable, and able to maintain focus for 4-8 hour shifts.
• Basic written and excellent verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
• Able to follow directions and deliver consistent results

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Valid Weber-Morgan County Food Handler's Card (required within 1 week of start date)
• Experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook preferred
• Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
