Overview:

Suffolk BBQ Co, an award-winning restaurant specializing in BBQ pork, chicken, ribs, briskets, burgers, and specialty sandwiches, is seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and making sauces.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Proven experience working in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of food safety principles and proper food handling.
• Willingness to learn and help out in various kitchen tasks.
